Equipping Department Administrator  

The Equipping Department Administrator will support the Equipping Ministries of New Hope Church by recruiting, training and managing teams of volunteers to meet their administrative needs.  This person will also oversee and manage the database of New Hope Church to support all areas of ministry.  This role will report to the Manager of Administration and work alongside the other department Administrators to achieve collaboration and quality control over all processes and communication.  

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruit and train teams of volunteers to support the administrative needs of the Equipping ministries. Including; 
  • Designing and producing curriculum and programming materials 
  • Facilitating connection with newly registered families by ministry leaders and ensuring complete registration information 
  • Facilitate communication with participants and families through social media, email, text and phone 
  • Ensuring leaders have the data and information about their participants to support their pastoral care 
  • Assist in the coordination of pastoral care needs for all of those within the equipping ministry 
  • Onboarding volunteers and ensuring all child protection/clearance requirements are met. 
  • Oversee New Hope Church’s Database (ie. Data in Planning Centre) and provide effective reporting for ministry leaders. 
  • Optimize existing data and create new systems for improved data collection. 
  • Coordinate with the administrative team to assist in weekday reception needs.

  • Support and work in cooperation with other ministries to maximize opportunities across ministry areas. Communicate and collaborate with all areas of ministry for maximum efficiency and cohesion. 
  • Attend team leader meetings, ministry leader meetings and other staff called meetings, in particular attending both weekly Operations Department Meeting and Equipping Department Meetings. 
  • Knowledge of Planning Center and other database systems/reporting. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Experience in Excel is an asset 
  • Ability to learn new software and train others.  
  • Transform large datasets into clear, insightful conclusions. 
  • Process Management experience is an asset 
  • Experience with Canva is an asset

  • Hours and Expectations: 40 hours/week  
  • Compensation: Competitive market rates based on experience

Equipping Ministries Support Intern

The Equipping Ministries Support Intern will assist the equipping team in supporting their volunteers to lead and implement NHKids, Jr Youth and Sr Youth, in particular being the primary staff support person for the Prep Team.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support and direction to the Prep Team that serves during the day as they prepare for and clean up evening activities
  • Assist the Directors of Jr., Sr. Youth and NHKids in preparation of teaching and curriculum materials.
  • Assist the Directors of Jr & Sr Youth in logistical preparation for coach, leader and other meetings.
  • Assist the Directors in recruiting and onboarding new team members, day-time prep teams, in particular.
  • Be the First-In-Last-Out team member at one of the Jr Youth and one of the Sr Youth locations
  • Work with the Directors, the Life Group Coaches and Site-Leaders to provide for the Life Group and Activity leaders’ logistical needs during Youth nights.
  • Coordinate with the Cobalt Crew Leader on Youth nights to ensure that the buildings are reset for the next event and properly cleaned and locked.
  • Assist the Equipping Team Administrator with ensuring all records of Police Checks, Plan to Protect Certificates and Team Handbooks are properly digitized and filed.

  • Some post-secondary education in administrative, business or education an asset
  • Experience in children’s and youth ministry

    • Hours and Expectations:  35 hours/week (Typical week 8 hours Monday, 12 hours Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 hours Thursday)
    • Compensation: Determined by skills and experience
    • Pension/Benefits: N/A
    • Vacation: 2 weeks

Property Management and Operations Coordinator and Building, Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor (Intern Positions)

New Hope Church Niagara is a growing, vibrant church serving the Niagara region through weekly services, youth programs, and community initiatives. We are hiring 2 Summer Interns to support our Facilities and Maintenance team across both church locations. This position is designed to provide meaningful work experience, hands-on training, and mentorship in building maintenance, facility operations, and teamwork in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with general maintenance and repair tasks at both locations
  • Support cleaning and upkeep of church facilities
  • Help with event setup and teardown (including Sundays)
  • Work alongside staff and volunteers on projects
  • Ensure spaces are safe, organized, and welcoming
  • Assist with various facility-related needs as assigned
  • Interest in maintenance, construction, or hands-on work
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Hours and Expectations: 35 hours/week 
  • Compensation: $17.20/hour + 4% vacation pay
